In the recent press conference held on Sunday, the government minister of tourism and overseas, Syed Zulfi Bukhari unveiled an interesting regarding tourism in Pakistan. He told that Pakistan is going to host the D-8 countries’ forum about tourism. Brother Muslim country Turkey is also going to participate in this meeting. Almost 1000 international visitors will participate in this forum.

Zulfi Bukhari said that there is a huge scope of tourism in Pakistan. Our wish is to introduce this potential to world especially Muslim countries. He added that for the sake of learning from their experience of tourism, we are going to invite the tourism ministers of D-8 countries.

World Tourism Forum 2021

Word Tourism Forum is an organization located in Istanbul, Turkey. The motive of this organization is to develop tourism around the world by holding annual meetings. Previously, it scheduled the conference for 2020 in Pakistan, but amid coronavirus pandemic, now it will be held in 2021. It will hold a total five-day meeting in which three days will be for the conference and two days for tourism. D-8 countries invited in this forum will share their experience about promoting tourism in their countries.

In this meeting, Tourism and Overseas minister Zulfi Bukhari added that Pakistan would build 32 new three-star and five-star hotels to accommodate international visitors. He also said that they shut down the Pakistan Tourism and Development Council (PTDC) to restructure it according to the best global practices. Zulfi added that this year, they would launch a tourism e-portal to facilitate and attract local and international tourists.
